Imports of goods from Germany in first 10 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - Goods imported from Germany into Vietnam reached over 3.36 billion USD in the first 10 months of 2025, an increase of 7.5% compared to the first 10 months of 2024.
According to preliminary statistics of the Customs Department, the two-way trade relationship between Vietnam and Germany in the first 10 months of 2025 reached over 11.14 billion USD, an increase of 15.3% compared to the same period in 2024.
In particular, goods imported from Germany into Vietnam reached over 3.36 billion USD in the first 10 months of 2025, an increase of 7.5% compared to the first 10 months of 2024.
In October of 2025 alone, import turnover increased by 2.3% compared to September of 2025, reaching over 379.03 million USD and an increase of 13.2% compared to the same month of 2024.
On the other hand, exports to Germany reached over 7.78 billion USD in the first 10 months of 2025, up by 19.1% over the same period in 2024. Thus, Vietnam's trade surplus with Germany in the first 10 months reached over 4.42 billion USD, up by 29.8% over the same period of 2024.
In 2024, the two-way trade relationship between Vietnam and Germany reached over 11.7 billion USD, up by 5.54% over 2023. The trade surplus with Germany in 2024 reached 4.17 billion USD, up by 12.41%.
The largest group of imported goods from Germany in the past 10 months was machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts, reaching over 1.27 billion USD, accounting for 37.9% of the total import turnover of all kinds of goods from this market, up 15.2% compared to the first 10 months of 2024. The group of imported pharmaceuticals from Germany ranked second in terms of turnover, reaching 343.75 million USD, accounting for 10.2% of the total turnover, up by 3.8%. Next was the group of chemicals, reaching over 227.79 million USD, accounting for 6.8%, down by 32.3%; chemical products reached 225.09 million USD, accounting for 6.7% of the total turnover, down by 5.5%.
