Vietnam animal feed market – November 2025
Wednesday, November 26,2025
AsemconnectVietnam - In the first months of 2025, animal feed (AF) prices in Vietnam continued the downward trend observed since 2024, despite global economic uncertainties. The decline in input material prices helped reduce domestic finished feed prices accordingly.
Specifically, piglet feed (21% protein) was priced at VND380,000–450,000 per 25kg bag; grower–finisher pig feed (18% protein) at VND330,000–400,000 per bag; and sow feed at VND360,000–420,000 per bag.
For poultry, day-old chick feed ranged from VND350,000–430,000 per bag; broiler feed from VND310,000–380,000; and layer feed from VND340,000–410,000. Feed for ducklings, layer ducks and meat ducks ranged from VND320,000–420,000 depending on nutritional formulation and brand. Aquafeed (pangasius, tilapia, snakehead) remained at VND320,000–450,000 per 25kg bag. Rice bran and ground corn prices fluctuated slightly by category.Supply situation

Outlook
In Vietnam, the growth outlook for the animal feed industry in 2025 is expected to be more positive than the previous year. With stable supplies of raw materials and declining input prices, domestic finished feed prices are projected to continue trending downward.Under Decree 73/2025/NĐ-CP, which amends import tariff schedules under Decree 26/2023/NĐ-CP, import duties for several key feed materials have been reduced. Import duty on corn kernels has been cut from 2% to 0%, while soybean meal has been reduced from 1–2% to 0%.
Vietnam is expected to further increase soybean imports in 2025 due to rising feed demand and favourable tariff conditions, especially for imports originating from the United States.
