AsemconnectVietnam - On November 15 in Kuwait, PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo - Phu My) and Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited (NSRP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marking a strategic cooperation step in developing chemical and petrochemical projects.

According to the MOU, PVFCCo - Phu My and NSRP will coordinate to study investment cooperation opportunities under the business cooperation contract model in a number of potential projects (Sulfuric Acid, Ammonia, Carbon Black ...). The two sides also agreed to share market data, update feasibility studies and research on infrastructure development to serve production and business activities, and strengthen coordination in operation and maintenance to improve efficiency and safety of the plant.
At the signing ceremony, Petrovietnam leaders emphasized the important orientation: PVFCCo - Phu My and NSRP need to develop products according to chain thinking, maximizing the advantages of each unit and directly supporting the operations of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, creating added value and harmonious benefits for both sides. This viewpoint was agreed by the parties, considering it as the foundation for expanding cooperation in the chemical - petrochemical sector in the coming years.
NSRP representative, Mr. Kazutaka Yamato - General Director affirmed that the MOU will open a new chapter for the development of the petrochemical complex by taking advantage of the experience, system and market capacity of PVFCCo - Phu My. On the PVFCCo - Phu My side, General Director Phan Cong Thanh emphasized that this event is in line with the Corporation's strategy of expanding the chemical sector, helping PVFCCo - Phu My participate more deeply in the petrochemical - chemical value chain, especially in the Nghi Son industrial ecosystem.
The signing ceremony in Kuwait is considered an important milestone in the process of forming a petrochemical - chemical chain between PVFCCo - Phu My and NSRP, contributing to improving the efficiency of Vietnam's energy industry.
