AsemconnectVietnam - The volume and value of imported cars in the past 10 months increased sharply compared to the same period of 2024.

According to the latest statistics from the Customs Department, in the second half of October (October 16-31), the whole country imported 7,654 cars of all kinds, with a turnover of 209.59 million USD.
The two most imported car lines were cars with 9 seats or less and trucks.
Specifically, cars with 9 seats or less were 5,200 cars, with a turnover of 107.4 million USD; and 1,057 cars, with a turnover of 37.9 million USD.
In the first 10 months, the country imported 171,364 complete cars of all kinds, with a turnover of 3.85 billion USD, up by 20% in volume and 31% in turnover compared to the same period of 2024.
In which, cars with 9 seats or less were 128,564 cars, with a turnover of 2.33 billion USD; transport cars were 22,415 cars, with a turnover of 666 million USD.
The main car import markets were Asian countries.
In particular, the Indonesian market led in terms of number of cars but ranked third in terms of turnover with 64,626 cars and 915.6 million USD.
The Thai market ranked second in terms of number of cars and turnover with 56,862 cars, with a turnover of 1.13 billion USD.
Notably, the Chinese market ranked third in terms of vehicle volume but led in terms of turnover with 38,957 vehicles, worth of 1.29 billion USD. Thus, the number of imported vehicles from the three major markets mentioned above alone reached 160,445 vehicles, accounting for 93.62% of the total imported vehicle volume of the country in 10 months.
