AsemconnectVietnam - Fruit and vegetable exports to the US market have recorded a breakthrough growth in recent months, making an important contribution to the industry's goal of reaching a record of 8 billion USD in 2025.

Durian was the largest contributor to fruit and vegetable exports.
According to the latest preliminary statistics from the Customs Department, from the beginning of the year to October 15, the country's fruit and vegetable export turnover reached 6.59 billion USD, up by 11.03% over the same period last year.
Among Vietnam's main fruit and vegetable export markets, exports to the US have had the strongest breakthrough.
According to Vietnam Customs, by the end of September, the exports to this country reached 406.77 million USD, up by 59.83% over the same period last year.
With the above results, the US has surpassed South Korea to become Vietnam's second largest fruit and vegetable export market.
Meanwhile, China maintained its number one position with a turnover of 3.86 billion USD, up by 1.81% over the same period last year and accounting for 62.9% of the country's fruit and vegetable export turnover in the same period last year.
The largest export item to China in particular and the fruit and vegetable industry in general is durian.
Other key export markets include South Korea, Japan, Taiwan (China), the Netherlands, Australia, etc.
With the results achieved over the past 9 months and the recent recovery, experts and managers estimate that fruit and vegetable exports in 2025 will set a new record of 8 billion USD.
