Vietnam’s seafood market in October 2025

 Thursday, October 30,2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In October 2025, shrimp prices showed signs of stabilizing and slightly declining in some regions due to abundant raw shrimp supply, while domestic demand grew slowly and was affected by weather conditions. Specifically, black tiger shrimp prices remained stable in some areas, such as Phu Yen, but decreased slightly in Ca Mau, while whiteleg shrimp prices tended to decline.

In Phu Yen, the price of black tiger shrimp (size 50 pcs/kg) stood at around VND220,000/kg, size 40 pcs/kg at VND250,000/kg, and size 30 pcs/kg at VND300,000/kg. Meanwhile, the price of whiteleg shrimp (size 100 pcs/kg) in Phu Yen dropped by about VND3,000/kg to VND102,000/kg.
In Ca Mau, the price of black tiger shrimp (size 20 pcs/kg) reached VND275,000/kg, and size 30 pcs/kg was VND160,000/kg, both decreasing by about VND5,000/kg compared with early September. The price of whiteleg shrimp (size 20 pcs/kg) remained stable at VND250,000/kg.
In Quang Tri, the price of small shrimp (size 40–50 pcs/kg) stood at VND400,000/kg, “tom bop” at VND420,000/kg, black tiger shrimp (size 20–30 pcs/kg) at VND430,000/kg, and whiteleg shrimp (size 30–40 pcs/kg) at VND240,000/kg, all stable compared with the previous month.
The price of tra fish fry (size 30 pcs/kg) increased to VND55,000–58,000/kg, doubling from the beginning of the year, pushing up production costs and export prices. This rising trend is expected to directly impact export prices in Q4/2025 as processing plants ramp up purchasing for year-end orders.
