Petroleum exports increased in September of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to preliminary statistics from the Customs Department, Vietnam's petroleum exports in September of 2025 increased by 18.5% in volume and 13% in value compared to the previous month, reaching 126,706 tonnes, worth of 81.9 million USD.

In the first 9 months of 2025, total exports reached 1,040,588 tonnes, worth 705 million USD, down by 40.9% in volume and 51% in value.
South Korea remained Vietnam's largest petroleum export market, reaching 241,437 tonnes in the first 9 months of 2025, worth of 190.7 million USD, up by 38.9% in volume and by 21.7% in value compared to the same period last year, accounting for more than 23-27% of total volume and total export turnover. In September of 2025 alone, it reached 31,478 tonnes, worth of 24.8 million USD, up by 38.6% in volume and value.
Petroleum exports to the Chinese market accounted for more than 20-24% of the total volume and turnover, reaching 215,751 tonnes, turnover reaching 169.5 million USD, up by 55.5% in volume and 31.7% in value in the first 9 months of 2025. In September of 2025 alone, the exports decreased by 18.8% in volume and 19.5% in value.
The next was the Singapore market, accounting for 24.2% of the total volume and 18.2% of the total turnover, reaching 252,450 tonnes, with the turnover of 128.3 million USD, up by 25.5% in volume and 0.7% in value. In September of 2025 alone, the figure reached 31,838 tonnes, worth of 13.7 million USD.
The next was the Cambodian market, accounting for 16-17% of the total volume and total turnover, reaching 170,888 tonnes, worth of 121.5 million USD, down by 44.1% in volume and down by 50.6% in value. The figure of September of 2025 alone reached 17,264 tonnes, worth of 12.1 million USD.
