According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, prices for paddy (fresh) are as follows:
• IR 50404: VND5,000–5,200/kg
• OM 5451: VND5,400–5,600/kg
• Đài Thơm 8: VND5,800–6,000/kg
• OM 18: VND5,800–6,000/kg
• Nàng Hoa 9: VND6,000–6,200/kg
• OM 308: VND5,700–5,900/kg
Trading activity was moderate across provinces:
• An Giang: steady prices, active buying.
• Cần Thơ: slow trading, stable prices.
• Đồng Tháp: sluggish demand, few buyers.
• Vĩnh Long: limited harvest and reduced buying.
• Tây Ninh: low activity, prices unchanged.
For milled rice, prices were generally stable:
• IR 504: VND7,900–8,000/kg (down VND50/kg)
• OM 18: VND8,500–8,600/kg
• OM 5451: VND8,100–8,200/kg
• OM 380: VND7,800–7,900/kg
• CL 555: VND8,150–8,250/kg
• Finished OM 380: VND8,800–9,000/kg
• Finished IR 504: VND9,500–9,700/kg
By-products ranged from VND7,250–10,000/kg, with broken rice (No.2) at VND7,200–7,300/kg, and bran at VND9,000–10,000/kg.
At retail markets, rice prices were steady:
• Nàng Nhen: VND28,000/kg
• Hương Lài: VND22,000/kg
• Common rice: VND13,000–15,000/kg
• Thai fragrant rice: VND20,000–22,000/kg
• Nàng Hoa: VND21,000/kg
• Taiwan fragrant rice: VND20,000/kg
• Jasmine rice: VND16,000–18,000/kg
• Standard white rice: VND16,000/kg
• Sọc (common) rice: VND16,000–17,000/kg
• Sọc Thai rice: VND20,000/kg
• Japanese rice: VND22,000/kg
Export market:
Vietnam’s export rice prices were unchanged from the previous day, according to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA):
• Fragrant 5% broken rice: USD420–435/tonne
• 100% broken rice: USD309–313/tonne
• Jasmine rice: USD486–490/tonne.
