Vietnam's Robusta coffee exports in the first 8 months of 2025 still played a key role, reaching 949,600 tonnes, worth of 4.91 billion USD, up by 5.8% in volume and a strong increase of 57.3% in value thanks to increased export prices. The Import-Export Department commented that this result showed the initial effectiveness of the policy to encourage deep processing, contributing to increasing added value and gradually repositioning the position of Vietnamese coffee in the international market.
However, to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage, the coffee industry still faces major challenges in processing capacity, quality standardization and national branding.
