AsemconnectVietnam - By September 15, 2025, wood and wood products were the only export group of the agricultural sector to reach a turnover of 10 billion USD or more.

According to the latest statistics of the Customs Department, from the beginning of the year to September 15, 2025, the total export turnover of wood and wood products of Vietnam reached 11.738 billion USD (wood products alone were 8.013 billion USD), an increase of 7.2% over the same period last year.
With the above results, wood and wood products ranked 7th in the country in terms of turnover scale. However, considering the agricultural sector alone, this is the largest export group and also the only group to reach a turnover of "tens of billions of dollars".
The export markets for wood and wood products were quite diverse, in which the 5 largest markets were concentrated in Asia and the Americas, including: the United States, China, Japan, South Korea and Canada.
Of which, the United States led the list with 6.2 billion USD (updated by the Customs Department according to the market until August of 2025), up by 7.7% over the same period last year.
The following positions with specific results were as follows Japan reached 1.4 billion USD, up by 24.1%; China reached 1.23 billion USD, down by 11.4%; South Korea reached 493 million USD, down by 5.5%; Canada reached 184.6 million USD, up by 19.3%.
Thus, the 2 large markets in the Americas still maintain a fairly good growth momentum, while 2/3 of the large markets in Asia have decreased turnover.
Notably, the above 5 major markets alone accounted for 85.57% of the country's wood and wood products export turnover.
