Son La Sugarcane (SLS) pays 150% cash dividend, one and a half times higher than planned

AsemconnectVietnam - On October 8, Son La Sugarcane Joint Stock Company (SLS - HNX) will close the list of shareholders to pay 2024-2025 cash dividend at a rate of 150%, corresponding to shareholders owning 1 share will receive VND15,000.
Thus, with nearly 9.8 million listed and outstanding shares, Son La Sugarcane will have to spend about VND147 billion to pay dividends to existing shareholders. The ex-rights trading date is October 7, the expected dividend payment date is October 28.
Meanwhile, at the recent annual shareholders' meeting, the Company approved the plan to pay 100% cash dividend for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
Currently, the Company has a charter capital of VND97.9 billion, of which Ms. Tran Thi Thai is the largest shareholder, owning nearly 2.7 million SLS shares, accounting for 27.43%, and will receive VND40.5 billion in dividends; Thai Lien Company Limited owns 1.47 million shares, accounting for 15%, and will receive VND22 billion; Chairman Dang Viet Anh owns 0.96 million shares, accounting for 9.84%, and will receive VND14.4 billion.
Regarding business activities, at the end of the fiscal year 2024-2025 (from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025), Son La Sugarcane recorded revenue of nearly VND1,161 billion, down 17.76% compared to the previous year; profit after tax reached VND374.2 billion, down 28.9% compared to the previous year.
With the plan of total net revenue of nearly VND892.8 billion, after-tax profit of VND109.59 billion, at the end of the fiscal year 2024-2025, Son La Sugarcane has exceeded the revenue target by 30% and the profit target by 241.5%.
Regarding the production and business plan for the fiscal year 2025-2026, the Company's General Meeting of Shareholders also agreed on the targets set in the previous fiscal year with revenue and after-tax profit expected to reach VND892.756 billion and VND109.59 billion, respectively.
