In the Central and Central Highlands regions, prices fluctuated between VND54,000 and VND59,000/kg, up slightly by VND1,000/kg. In the Southern region, live hog prices ranged from VND58,000 to VND60,000/kg, down VND1,000/kg compared with late August 2025.
In the final week of September 2025, live hog prices across the three regions hovered around VND54,000–60,000/kg, with the South recording the highest prices. Overall, prices continued to decline compared with the previous month.
In September 2025, the domestic meat market recorded lower live hog prices and volatile export activity. Meanwhile, the global market has seen changes in meat consumption and trade, particularly the declining role of China. Countries such as Peru are working to boost pork consumption as a means to support rural economic development.
