AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 8 months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached over 1.5 million tonnes, worth 624.16 million USD, up by 29% in volume, up by 30.4% in value compared to the first 8 months of 2024.

According to preliminary data from the Customs Department, in August of 2025, Vietnam exported 204,697 tonnes of fertilizer, worth 93.54 million USD, with an average price of 457 USD/tonne, up by 13.6% in volume, up by 15.1% in turnover and up 1.3% in price compared to July of 2025. Compared to August of 2024, it also increased sharply by 55.4% in volume, up by 59.9% in turnover and up by 2.9% in price.
In the first 8 months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached 1.5 million tonnes, worth of 624.16 million USD, with an average price of 415.1 USD/tonne, up by 29% in volume, 30.4% in turnover and 1.1% in price compared to the first 8 months of 2024. Vietnam's fertilizer exports were the largest to the Cambodian market, accounting for 32.5% in volume and 31.3% in turnover of the country's total fertilizer exports, reaching 489,212 tonnes, worth of 195.16 million USD, with an average price of 398.9 USD/tonne; increased by 32.8% in volume, increased by 27.5% in value but decreased by 4% in price compared to the first 8 months of 2024.
Ranking second was the South Korean market with 109,909 tonnes, worth of 45.26 million USD, average price of 411.8 USD/tonne; down by 10.7% in volume, down by 11.4% in turnover and down by 0.8% in price, accounting for over 7% in both volume and turnover. The next was the Malaysian market with 93,819 tonnes, worth of 39.48 million USD, average price of 420.8 USD/tonne; up by 10.5% in volume, up 21% in turnover and up by 9.5% in price, accounting for over 6% in both volume and turnover.
In general, fertilizer exports to most markets in the first 8 months of 2025 increased in both volume and value compared to the same period of 2024.
