Thus, in the first 8 months of 2025, total value of import and export of goods reached 597.93 billion USD (up 16.3%, equivalent to an increase of 83.89 billion USD compared to the same period last year).
Of which, export value reached 305.96 billion USD (up 14.8%, equivalent to an increase of 39.53 billion USD compared to the same period last year) and import value reached 291.97 billion USD (up 17.9%, equivalent to an increase of 44.36 billion USD compared to the same period last year). Vietnam's trade balance of goods in the first 8 months of 2025 had a surplus of 13.99 billion USD, down 25.7% compared to surplus of 18.83 billion USD in the same period last year.
Regarding State budget revenue situation, according to Customs Department, revenue from import-export activities in August 2025 reached 35,501 billion VND, down 10.2% compared to July (equivalent to a decrease of 4,040 billion VND). Revenue in the first 8 months of 2025 reached VND 298,301 billion, equal to 72.6% of estimate, up 8.4% (equivalent to an increase of VND 23,115 billion) over the same period in 2025.
