AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, domestic coffee prices decreased by 2,000 VND to VND121,500 to 122,000/kg on August 26, 2025, compared to yesterday.

In Di Linh, Lâm Hà, Bảo Lộc (Lâm Đồng province): VND121,500/kg.
In Cư M’gar (Đắk Lắk): VND122,000/kg. In Ea H’leo and Buôn Hồ: VND122,000/kg.
Similarly, in Đắk Nông (Lâm Đồng province): VND122,000/kg; in Gia Nghĩa and Đắk R’lấp: VND121,900/kg.
In Gia Lai province: VND121,800/kg in Chư Prông, and VND121,700/kg in both Pleiku and La Grai.

Global coffee market: This morning, the London exchange was closed. At the latest session, Robusta coffee in London rose by USD130/tonne for November 2025 delivery to USD4,650/tonne, and by USD137/tonne for January 2026 delivery to USD4,524/tonne.
On the New York exchange, Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery fell by 0.55 cents/lb to 377.75 cents/lb, and for March 2026 delivery dropped 0.35 cents/lb to 368.5 cents/lb. However, longer-dated contracts saw slight increases.
The rebound of the US dollar dragged New York coffee prices lower. As of early morning August 26, the US Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the greenback against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), rose 0.73% to 98.43.
The US dollar strengthened after a sharp drop last week following comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, which had fueled expectations of a rate cut next month.
The global Arabica market surged over 30% in August on the exchange, mainly due to the US imposing tariffs of up to 50% on Brazilian coffee. With tariffs in place, importers have turned to alternative suppliers such as Central America and Colombia, though facing higher premiums compared to futures contracts.
Brazil’s 2025 Arabica harvest is entering its final phase, yielding about 10% less than expected. Additionally, frost this month is likely to reduce next year’s production.
