Daily: Domestic pepper prices rose by 2,000 VND on August 26, 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, domestic pepper prices increased by 2,000 VND to VND145,000 to 148,000/kg on August 26, 2025.

The US market recorded significant growth due to limited supply and rising demand from European buyers. Domestic pepper prices rose by VND2,000/kg across localities, approaching the VND150,000/kg threshold.
In Đắk Lắk province: VND148,000/kg, up by VND2,000/kg.
In Đắk Nông (Lâm Đồng province): VND148,000/kg, up by VND2,000/kg.
In Gia Lai province: VND145,500/kg, up by VND2,000/kg.
Meanwhile, in Đồng Nai: VND145,000/kg, up by VND2,000/kg.
In Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu (Ho Chi Minh City area): VND146,000/kg, up by VND2,000/kg.
In Bình Phước (Đồng Nai province): VND146,000/kg, up by VND2,000/kg.
Pepper prices rose by VND2,000/kg this morning compared to the same time yesterday.
At the latest trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed black pepper Lampung (Indonesia) at USD7,307/tonne, up 2.44%; black pepper Brazil ASTA 570 at USD6,000/tonne; black pepper Kuching (Malaysia) ASTA at USD9,600/tonne.
White pepper Muntok stood at USD10,155/tonne, up 1.86%; Malaysian white pepper ASTA at USD12,800/tonne.
Vietnamese black pepper traded at USD6,240/tonne for the 500 g/l grade, USD6,370/tonne for the 550 g/l grade; white pepper at USD8,950/tonne. IPC raised Indonesian pepper prices at the start of the week.
The IPC noted that last week’s market showed mixed movements. Sri Lanka was the only producing country to record a decline in domestic black pepper prices. The US market recorded strong growth due to limited supply and rising demand from European buyers.
India’s domestic and export pepper prices remained stable.
After two consecutive weeks of increases, Indonesia’s domestic and export prices stabilized last week, with most farmers in Lampung having completed their harvest.
Malaysia’s domestic black pepper prices remained steady, while other categories continued to rise.
After three consecutive weeks of stability, Sri Lanka’s domestic pepper prices fell, making it the only producing country to register a decline last week.
Vietnam’s domestic pepper prices have risen for three straight weeks, though export prices remained unchanged.
Brazilian pepper prices have been rising since last week, while Cambodian black pepper and Chinese white pepper remained stable.
