AsemconnectVietnam - Having completed 78% of the profit plan after the first half of the year, Vietnam Container Corporation (Viconship, code VSC - HOSE) plans to raise its 2025 profit plan, an increase of 212.5% compared to the plan at the beginning of the year.

On August 21, Viconship finalized the list of shareholders attending the 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders. In particular, the Company plans to submit to shareholders an increase in pre-tax profit plan for 2025 from VND400 billion to VND1,250 billion, an increase of 212.5% compared to the plan approved at the beginning of the year.
In fact, in the first half of 2025, Viconship recorded revenue of VND1,489.03 billion, an increase of 14.2% over the same period; Pre-tax profit reached VND311.96 billion, up 53.7% over the same period, completing 78% of the plan approved at the beginning of the year, profit of VND400 billion and completing 25% of the expected profit plan to increase to VND1,250 billion. In which, gross profit margin decreased slightly from 32.6% to 32.3%.
Another noteworthy point, Hai An Transport and Stevedoring Joint Stock Company (code HAH - HOSE floor) has just approved to contribute VND400 billion, equivalent to 40% of capital to establish Hai An Green Shipping Lines Company Limited; and Viconship also approved to contribute capital to establish Hai An Green Shipping Lines Company Limited, the capital contribution ratio is 60% of charter capital.
Previously, Viconship increased its ownership to 15.31% of Hai An's charter capital and at the recently held General Meeting, shareholders approved the election of two Viconship personnel to Hai An's Board of Directors, including Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung (born in 1979) and Mr. Ta Cong Thong (born in 1985).
