Vietnam seafood market – July 2025
Monday, September 1,2025
AsemconnectVietnam - Shrimp prices in July 2025 varied depending on type, size, and region. In general, large-sized white-leg shrimp (30 pcs/kg) ranged between VND145,000 – 175,000/kg, while giant black tiger shrimp (10–15 pcs/kg) were priced around VND185,000 – 195,000/kg.
Pangasius prices in the Mekong Delta showed clear recovery, bringing farmers a profit margin of VND6,000 – 7,000/kg. In Dong Thap, raw pangasius prices reached VND31,500 – 31,800/kg, while production costs were around VND26,500/kg. With such positive signals, many farmers in Dong Thap and An Giang quickly renovated ponds and reinvested in production. However, experts warned against overly rapid expansion to avoid oversupply and price volatility. Reinvestment should be carefully considered to ensure a balance between profitability and long-term stability of the pangasius industry.
