AsemconnectVietnam - According to preliminary statistics from the Customs Department, the import turnover of milk and dairy products in the first 7 months of 2025 reached over 858.08 million USD, an increase of 35% compared to the first 7 months of 2024.

In July of 2025 alone, the import turnover of this group of goods reached 129.21 million USD, down by 13.7% compared to June of 2025 but up by 27.3% compared to July of 2024.
New Zealand, the US, Australia, Ireland and Thailand were the main markets supplying milk and products to Vietnam; in which the largest import from New Zealand reached 268.23 million USD, accounting for 31.3% of the total import turnover of this group of goods nationwide, a sharp increase of 60.4% compared to the first 7 months of 2024. In July of 2025 alone, it reached 38.22 million USD, down by 0.12% compared to June 2025 but up by 46.7% compared to July of 2024.
The imports of milk and dairy products from the Australian market increased by 13% compared to the first 7 months of 2024, reaching 76.09 million USD, accounting for 8.9%; the imports of milk from the US market decreased by 13.2%, reaching 68.81 million USD, accounting for 8%.
The imports of milk and dairy products from the German market in the first 7 months of 2025 increased sharply by 92.3%, reaching 49.17 million USD, accounting for 5.7%.
The imports of milk and dairy products from the Southeast Asian market reached 107.18 million USD, accounting for 12.5%, up by 16.6% compared to the first 7 months of 2024; and the imports from EU countries reached 221.06 million USD, accounting for 25.8%, a sharp increase of 63.1%.
