AsemconnectVietnam - According to Kinhtedothi, rice prices in Vietnam on August 14, 2025, edged down by VND100–150/kg for some raw rice varieties. End-of-season paddy supply and low new purchase transactions kept prices relatively stable. In the Mekong Delta, the market was quiet with low trading volumes; domestic rice and fresh paddy prices were stable, while some raw rice varieties slightly reversed from yesterday.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province:
• Raw rice for export IR 504 fell VND50/kg to VND8,450–8,550/kg
• Raw rice CL 555 dropped VND150/kg to VND8,650–8,750/kg
• Raw rice OM 380 stayed at VND8,300–8,400/kg
• Raw rice 5451 at VND9,500–9,650/kg
• Raw rice OM 18 at VND9,600–9,700/kg
• Finished rice OM 380 at VND8,800–9,000/kg
• Finished rice IR 504 at VND9,500–9,700/kg
By-products ranged from VND7,500–9,000/kg: OM 504 fragrant broken rice at VND7,500–7,700/kg; bran at VND8,000–9,000/kg.
Across provinces today:
• In An Giang, steady purchases with stable prices.
• In Lấp Vò (Đồng Tháp), small arrivals, slow trade, stable prices.
• In Sa Đéc (Đồng Tháp), arrivals at warehouses were low, prices steady.
• In Sa Đéc market, small arrivals, slow trading, stable prices.
• In An Cư – Đồng Tháp mới (Cái Bè, Tiền Giang cũ), small arrivals, slow buying, stable prices.
At retail markets, rice prices were unchanged from yesterday: Nàng Nhen at VND28,000/kg (highest), Hương Lài VND22,000/kg, regular rice VND13,000–14,000/kg, Thai fragrant long grain VND20,000–22,000/kg, Nàng Hoa VND21,000/kg, Taiwanese fragrant VND20,000/kg, Jasmine VND16,000–18,000/kg, common white rice VND16,000/kg, regular Sóc VND16,000–17,000/kg, Thai Sóc VND20,000/kg, Japanese rice VND22,000/kg.
For fresh paddy, An Giang province reported: IR 50404 at VND5,700–5,900/kg; Nàng Hoa 9 at VND6,000–6,200/kg; Đài Thơm 8 at VND6,100–6,200/kg; OM 18 at VND6,000–6,200/kg; OM 5451 at VND5,900–6,000/kg; OM 308 at VND5,700–5,900/kg.
In many provinces today, end-of-season paddy supply and low new purchase transactions kept prices steady.
• In Cà Mau (former Bạc Liêu), slow new purchases, selective buying, stable prices.
• In Cần Thơ, slow Autumn-Winter paddy trading, most buyers waiting, prices steady.
• In Tây Ninh (former Long An), late Summer-Autumn paddy supply was limited, trading slow, prices steady.
• In Đồng Tháp, low supply, many traders stopped buying, stable prices.
• In An Giang, end-of-season fields, few new transactions, stable prices.
Export market: Vietnamese export rice prices remained unchanged from the weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA):
• 5% broken rice: USD395/tonne
• 25% broken rice: USD371/tonne
• 100% broken rice: USD339/tonne
