Vietnam’s July exports hit record of over 42 billion USD

AsemconnectVietnam - Vietnam’s July exports reached 42.3 billion USD, according to statistics just announced by the Customs Department.
This is considered the highest milestone in a month ever.
According to the Customs Department, export turnover in July increased by 7% compared to the previous month and increased by 16% compared to the same period last year.
In July, there were 7 groups of goods reaching a turnover of 1 billion USD or more and most of them had positive growth compared to the previous month.
Leading the way were computers, electronic products and components with 9 billion USD, down 2.3% compared to the previous month.
The second place was phones and components with 5.57 billion USD, up sharply by 24%.
The third was machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts with 5.3 billion USD, up by 10.7%.
The remaining 4 billion-dollar groups were textiles and garments; footwear; means of transport and spare parts; wood and wood products with 3.9 billion USD, up by 8.7%; 2.2 billion USD, up by 3.2%; 1.68 billion USD, up by 15.5%; and 1.47 billion USD, up by 9.1% respectively.
The Customs Department data also recorded many groups of goods with turnover of hundreds of millions of USD.
The results achieved in July brought the export turnover in the past 7 months to 262.46 billion USD, up by 14.8% over the same period last year.
