AsemconnectVietnam - Nhon Trach 2 Petroleum Power Joint Stock Company (code NT2 - HOSE) has just announced its financial report for the second quarter of 2025 with a sharp increase in after-tax profit.

Specifically, in the second quarter of 2025, Nhon Trach 2 recorded net revenue of over VND2,081 billion, down about 5% compared to the same period last year, but thanks to the cost of goods sold decreasing more strongly than revenue (down 16.6%), helping after-tax profit increase by 2.7 times, reaching VND326.2 billion.
Closing the first half of 2025, Nhon Trach 2's net revenue reached VND3,508 billion, up 43.3% compared to the same period in 2024; after-tax profit skyrocketed to VND363.2 billion, while in the same period last year it reported a loss of VND36 billion.
According to the 2025 business plan, the Company targets total revenue of VND8,212 billion and after-tax profit of VND279 billion. With a cautious plan, after only the first half of the year, Nhon Trach 2 has exceeded the annual profit target by 30%.
Recently, NT2 said that as of July 14, 2025, the plant had produced 126.5 million kWh. Estimated electricity output in July 2025 is 280 million kWh.
Accumulated electricity output from commercial power generation to July 14, 2025 is 58,895.02 million kWh.
In the market, as soon as the trading session opened on the morning of August 4, NT2 shares quickly increased to the ceiling price of VND21,900/share, helping the stock reach its highest level in more than a year. Since the sharp market decline in early April due to the impact of tariffs, NT2 has now recovered more than 28% and surpassed its most recent peak in February.
