AsemconnectVietnam - According to data from the International Trade Center (ITC) of the WTO, in the first 6 months of 2025, the two-way trade between Vietnam and Germany reached over 6.6 billion USD, of which Vietnam's exports to Germany reached nearly 4.8 billion USD, and Vietnam's imports from Germany reached nearly 1.9 billion USD.
Vietnam achieved a surplus of nearly 2.8 billion USD in trade with the German market in the first 6 months of 2025.
In June of 2025 alone, Vietnam's exports to the German market reached nearly 672 million USD, while Vietnam's imports from the German market reached nearly 325 million USD, with a trade surplus of nearly 347 million USD.

According to statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam's export turnover to the German market reached 4.75 billion USD, an increase of nearly 24.5% over the same period of 2024. Coffee was Vietnam's main export item to the German market in the first 6 months of 2025 with a turnover of nearly 825 million USD, an increase of more than 115% over the same period in 2024. Ranked second was machinery, equipment, tools, and other spare parts with a turnover of nearly 702 million USD, an increase of nearly 18.9% over the same period of 2024
In June of 2025 alone, Vietnam's export turnover to the German market reached nearly 672 million USD, a decrease of more than 15% over the same period of 2024.

Imports of German goods to Vietnam in the first 6 months of 2025
According to data from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first 6 months of 2025, the import turnover of German goods to Vietnam reached nearly 1.9 billion USD, an increase of 8.1% over the same period of 2024.
Milk and dairy products were the main items imported from Germany by Vietnam in the first 6 months of 2025, with a turnover value of 688 million USD, an increase of nearly 12.8% over the same period of 2024. The next were confectionery and cereal products with over 225 million USD, an increase of nearly 39.4% over the same period of 2024.
