Global coffee market:
Prices on both futures exchanges continued to rise. After a sharp drop earlier in the week, coffee has recorded three straight days of gains. Concerns about weather conditions in Brazil have been pushing the market higher in recent days.
- On the London ICE, Robusta coffee for September 2025 delivery rose by USD49/tonne to USD3,349/tonne. November 2025 contracts gained USD45 to USD3,304/tonne.
- On the New York ICE, Arabica for September 2025 delivery increased by 3.5 cents/lb to 304.85 cents/lb, and December 2025 contracts were up 3.2 cents/lb to 297 cents/lb.
After an early-week dip, global coffee prices have rallied for three consecutive sessions due to growing concerns over Brazilian weather.
Export update:
According to the General Department of Customs, between July 1–15, Vietnam exported 49,420 tonnes of coffee worth USD266.3 million. Compared to the same period in 2024 (34,509 tonnes, USD167.9 million), volume rose by 43.2% and value soared by 58.5%, the highest growth among Vietnam's major agricultural exports.
From the beginning of 2025 to July 15, Vietnam exported over 1 million tonnes of coffee, with export turnover reaching USD5.69 billion. Compared to the same period in 2024, volume increased by 6.4%, while value surged by 66.4%.
On average, Vietnam exported more than 3,290 tonnes of coffee per day in the first half of July, earning nearly USD18 million daily. These 15 days alone contributed about 4.7% of total export turnover year-to-date, reflecting strong momentum during peak season.
Vietnam’s coffee industry is gaining traction in 2025, supported by favorable factors such as soaring global prices, recovering demand in Europe and the US, and a significant shift toward processed coffee products.
