Coffee export market in first 6 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 6 months of 2025, the whole country exported 947,102 tonnes of coffee, equivalent to over 5.4 billion USD, with an average price of 5,705 USD/tonne.
According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, in June of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports continued to decrease by 20.69% in volume, 21.16% in turnover and a slight decrease in price of 0.6% compared to May of 2025, reaching 117,983 tonnes, equivalent to 677.92 million USD, with an average price of 5,746 USD/tonne. In the first 6 months of 2025, coffee exports increased by 6% in volume, 69.36% in value and 59.84% in price compared to the first 6 months of 2024, reaching 947,102 tonnes, equivalent to over 5.4 billion USD, with an average price of 5,705 USD/tonne.
Vietnam's coffee exports to the German market were the largest in the first 6 months of 2025, accounting for over 15% of the total volume and total coffee export turnover of the country, reaching 149,543 tonnes, equivalent to 824.85 million USD, with a price of 5,516 USD/tonne, up by 33.2% in volume, up by 115% in value and up by 61.5% in price compared to the first 6 months of 2024. In June of 2025 alone, exports reached 11,718 tonnes, equivalent to 61.68 million USD, priced at 5,264 USD/tonne, down y 53% in volume, down by 55% in turnover and down by 4% in price compared to May of 2025.
Coffee exports to Italy ranked second in the market, down by 11% in volume, but up 48% in turnover and up by 66.6% in price compared to the first 6 months of 2024, reaching 76,993 tonnes, equivalent to 409.22 million USD, priced at 5,315 USD/tonne, accounting for 8.1% of the total volume and 7.6% of the total coffee export turnover of the country.
Coffee exports to the Spanish market increased by 8% in volume, increased sharply by 71% in turnover and increased by 58.3% in price compared to the first 6 months of 2024, reaching 69,539 tonnes, equivalent to 403.85 million USD, with an average price of 5,808 USD/tonne, accounting for over 7% of the total volume and total turnover. In general, in the first 6 months of 2025, coffee exports to most markets increased in turnover compared to the same period of 2024.
