AsemconnectVietnam - Of the 10 largest import groups of Vietnam in June, 4 groups achieved a turnover of 1 billion USD or more.

According to the latest statistics of the Customs Department, in June, the total import turnover of the whole country reached 36.66 billion USD, down by 6.1% compared to the previous month. Although there was a downward trend, this was still a high turnover. In June, there were 4 import groups with a turnover of 1 billion USD or more. Leading were computers, electronic products and components with 11.73 billion USD, down 12% compared to the previous month.
Ranked second was machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts reaching nearly 5.1 billion USD, down by 4.6%.
Fabrics of all kinds reached 1.22 billion USD, down by 16% and the group with the third largest turnover. Plastic raw materials ranked fourth with more than 1 billion USD, down by 1.2%.
In the Top 10 largest import groups, there are 6 groups with turnover of several hundred million USD/group, respectively as follows:
Base metals 907 million USD; down by 6.5%; plastic products nearly 905 million USD, down by 6.4%; iron and steel of all kinds reached 833.8 million USD, down by 11.3%; phones of all kinds and components reached 790, up by 5.8%; iron and steel products reached 695.7 million USD, down by 0.2%; petroleum of all kinds reached 694 million USD, up by 44.5%.
Thus, most of the main import groups had a decrease in turnover compared to the previous month, only 2 groups of goods, phones and gasoline, achieved positive growth. By the end of June, the total import turnover of the whole country reached 212.2 billion USD, an increase of 17.9% compared to the same period of 2024.
