AsemconnectVietnam - In the second quarter of 2025, Hoa Phat Group (HPG) produced 2.5 million tons of crude steel, equivalent to the first quarter and up 10% compared to the same period in 2024.

Sales output of hot-rolled coil (HRC), construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 2.6 million tons, up 9% compared to the previous quarter and 18% compared to the same period in 2024.
Hot-rolled coil recorded sales output exceeding 1.1 million tons in a quarter for the first time, up 18% compared to the first quarter. With 1.3 million tons, Hoa Phat's construction steel and high-quality steel output in the last quarter increased by 7% compared to the first quarter.
Hoa Phat's downstream HRC products such as galvanized steel and steel pipes reached 110,000 tons and 216,000 tons respectively in the second quarter, up sharply compared to the first quarter of the year.
In the first 6 months of the year, Hoa Phat Group produced 5.1 million tons of crude steel, up 17% compared to the first 6 months of 2024. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 5 million tons, up 23% compared to the first half of last year.
Of which, hot-rolled coil contributed 2.2 million tons, up 42% compared to the first half of 2024. The Group's construction steel and high-quality steel recorded 2.5 million tons, up 11% compared to the first 6 months of last year. Hoa Phat holds the No. 1 market share in Vietnam in construction steel with 38%.
Currently, Hoa Phat Group is focusing on completing and producing products from blast furnace No. 6, towards completing phase 2 of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex project in September this year.
Upon completion, the Group's total steel output will reach 16 million tons/year, including 8.5 million tons of hot-rolled coil steel, meeting 100% of the demand for this product in the Vietnamese market.
