AsemconnectVietnam - Although the pre-tax profit result in the first half of the year of Binh Dien Fertilizer JSC (code BFC) decreased slightly compared to the previous year, reaching VND322 billion, but with a cautious business target, the Company still exceeded the annual plan by 15%.

According to the newly announced estimated business results report, in the second quarter of 2025, BFC produced about 249,230 tons of fertilizer, an increase of 25.4% over the same period last year. Consumption reached 260,744 tons, recording a growth rate of 16.8%.
Accordingly, revenue in the second quarter reached more than VND3,613 billion, an increase of 22% over the same period. However, pre-tax profit decreased by 21%, to VND184.5 billion. Mainly because the second quarter of 2024 is a period of sudden growth for BFC, when fertilizer prices and agricultural product outputs increase sharply following the global commodity cycle.
In the first 6 months of the year, BFC brought in VND6,206.9 billion in revenue, up 25.6% over the same period. However, pre-tax profit only reached VND322 billion, a slight decrease compared to the same period in 2024.
In 2025, the company targets consolidated revenue of VND7,438 billion and pre-tax profit of VND281 billion, down 22% and 47% respectively compared to the previous year. With the results achieved in the first half of the year, the Company has achieved more than 83% of the revenue target, but has exceeded the profit target for the whole year by nearly 15%
Explaining the cautious business plan this year, Mr. Ngo Van Dong, General Director of BFC, said that the prices of many agricultural products, especially rice, have tended to decrease sharply since the beginning of the year, leading to a decrease in demand for fertilizer consumption.
In addition, strong fluctuations in input material prices are also a risk factor, especially in the context of domestic demand possibly falling due to reduced cultivated area. Therefore, setting a cautious plan is to ensure feasibility, while the company is still ready for breakthrough opportunities if the market has positive changes.
Entering the third quarter of 2025, BFC aims to produce 147,092 tons, consume 142,092 tons, with total revenue expected to reach VND1,828.3 billion and consolidated pre-tax profit estimated at VND53.5 billion.
