OCB increased capital to over VND26,630 billion

AsemconnectVietnam - On July 18, Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB - HOSE) will close the list of shareholders to pay 2024 cash dividend at a rate of 7%, meaning that shareholders owning 1 share will receive VND700.
Thus, with nearly 2,465.8 million shares listed and in circulation, OCB will have to spend approximately VND1,726 billion to pay dividends to existing shareholders. The ex-rights trading date is July 17, the expected dividend payment date is August 7.
Notably, recently, the State Bank of Vietnam has approved OCB to increase its charter capital through issuance from equity capital by a maximum of nearly VND1,973 billion. Accordingly, OCB will issue nearly 197.3 million shares to increase its equity capital from equity capital at an issuance rate of 8% (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive 8 rights).
After completing the issuance, OCB's charter capital will increase by nearly VND1,973 billion, from VND24,658 billion to more than VND26,630 billion.
The bank said that the plan to use the increased charter capital includes supplementing capital for business, investment and lending (VND1,258 billion); purchasing and constructing facilities (VND714 billion), including investment in information technology (VND171 billion), upgrading assets, basic construction (VND464 billion), equipping fixed assets, and labor tools (VND79 billion).
Regarding business activities, at the end of the first quarter of 2025, OCB's asset size increased compared to the beginning of the year, reaching VND289,067 billion, up 3%. Total net revenue reached VND2,273 billion, equivalent to the same period last year.
As of March 31, 2025, OCB's accumulated pre-tax profit reached VND 893 billion. In 2025, the Bank aims to have total assets of VND 316,779 billion, up 13%; total mobilization of market 1 reaching VND 218,842 billion, up 14%; total outstanding debt of market 1 increasing by 16%, reaching VND 208,472 billion; pre-tax profit increasing by 33% compared to 2024, reaching VND 5,338 billion.
