Vietnamese goods exported to Thailand in first 5 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the General Department of Customs, in May of 2025, Vietnam’s exports of goods to Thailand reached 679.6 million USD, an increase of 20.3% compared to the previous month.
In the first 5 months of 2025, the total exports reached 3.4 billion USD, an increase of 5.4% compared to the same period last year.
Thailand is currently Vietnam's largest export market in ASEAN, accounting for more than 20% of Vietnam's total export turnover to the bloc.
Vietnamese goods exported to Thailand include machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts; computers, electronic products and components; phones of all kinds and components; crude oil; means of transport and spare parts.
The leading export items in the first 5 months of 2025 were computers, electronic products and components reaching 609.7 million USD, up by 110.5%, accounting for 17.8% of the proportion. The next were machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reaching 422.3 million USD, up by 11.6%, accounting for 12.3% of the proportion. Some items with increased export turnover compared to the same period last year included seafood increased by 34.4%; coffee increased by 91.8%; iron and steel of all kinds 69.4%; chemicals increased by 83.8%; pepper increased by 54.8%; precious metals and precious stones and products increased by 207%.
