AsemconnectVietnam - According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's import turnover from the UK market in the first 5 months of 2025 reached 391.3 million USD, up by 29.9% over the same period last year.

The leading import turnover in the first 5 months of 2025 was the group of machinery, equipment, tools and other spare parts reaching 103.9 million USD, up by 48.8% over the same period last year, accounting for 26.5% of the export proportion. The next was pharmaceuticals reaching 35.3 million USD, up by 27.8%, accounting for 9% of the export proportion.
In the first 5 months of 2025, some items had a significant increase in import turnover compared to the same period last year. The imports of plastic products increased by 177.2%; seafood products increased by 53.6%; cameras, camcorders and components increased by 7 times; iron and steel of all kinds increased by 64.2%.
