Kosy (KOS): Focusing on overcoming difficulties, aiming VND118 billion profits in 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - On the morning of June 20, Kosy Joint Stock Company (KOS - HOSE) successfully held the 2025 Annual Shareholders' Meeting with the participation of 76 shareholders and authorized representatives, representing 196.7 shares, accounting for 90.88% of the total number of shares with voting rights.
Presenting at the Meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang - Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Kosy said that despite high expectations in 2024, the socio-economic situation has had many fluctuations that have seriously affected the Company's production and business activities, especially Real Estate business - one of the Company's main pillars.
However, the Board of Directors has set out many scenarios and made efforts to implement them, along with the support of authorities at all levels and central and local departments, the enthusiasm and responsibility for the work of all officers and employees, helping Kosy to record positive results.
At the end of 2024, Kosy recorded a total revenue of VND1,448.65 billion, completing 88.55% of the plan, of which sales revenue and service provision reached VND1,438.92 billion; profit after tax reached VND21.73 billion, completing 20.13% of the plan, especially the financial situation is still maintained stable.
A good financial structure helps the Company build and maintain good credit relationships with a number of commercial banks, credit institutions, and financial investment organizations such as: Agribank, Vietinbank, BIDV, VPBank, Mbbank, Baovietbank.
The attention and drastic actions to remove common difficulties of the Government and local authorities, especially the legal story for the real estate industry in general and private enterprises in particular, including Kosy, have helped speed up the implementation of backlogged projects. Some projects of Kosy Group have basically completed legal procedures, which can help Kosy record positive revenue and profit in 2025.
In addition, in 2024, the Company has implemented 2 more projects: Urban Area on both sides of Ngo Quyen Street in Thach Trung Commune (Ha Tinh City, Ha Tinh Province) and the Kim Duc and Phuong Lau Urban Housing Project (Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province).
For the energy sector, in the past year, the Company has been promoting the development of the Muong Tung Hydropower project cluster. In addition, Kosy also plans to start new hydropower projects with a capacity of 50-100 MW per year from 2025 onwards.
By the end of 2024, Kosy's undistributed profit after tax reached VND146.4 billion. The Company's Board of Directors proposed not to pay dividends for 2024; all profit after tax will be retained for reinvestment.
Also at the meeting, Kosy's Board of Directors submitted to shareholders for approval a plan to issue up to VND2,000 billion in non-convertible bonds, without warrants, with or without collateral. The mobilized capital will be used to implement ongoing real estate projects, additional power plant projects planned for implementation, restructure current debts and meet short-term capital needs.
Regarding the 2025 plan, Kosy's Board of Directors said that the Company will continue to implement and complete real estate projects in Bac Giang; Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Ha Tinh... In addition, the Company will focus resources on implementing a number of hydropower plants and renewable energy, wind power, solar power in localities with great development potential.
In 2025, Kosy expects revenue of VND1,800 billion, after-tax profit of VND118 billion, and expected dividend at 10%.
