Exports to New Zealand in first 5 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - According to the General Department of Customs, in May of 2025, Vietnam exported 53.1 million USD worth of goods to New Zealand, an increase of 8.01% compared to the previous month. In the first 5 months of 2025, the country’s total exports to New Zealand reached 276.7 million USD, an increase of 0.95% compared to the same period last year.
The items that Vietnam exported to New Zealand included all kinds of phones and components, computers, electronic products and components, seafood, cashew nuts, and footwear.
The item leading in export turnover in the first 5 months of 2025 was all kinds of phones and components reached 80.5 million USD, down by 14.7%, accounting for 29.1% of the proportion. The next was the item of computers, electronic products and components, reaching 32.2 million USD, up by 27.8%, accounting for 11.6% of the proportion. Some items with export turnover increased compared to the same period last year, such as cashew nuts increased by 22.2%; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts increased by 7.5%; furniture products made from materials other than wood increased by 6.7%.
To exploit the potential and favorable conditions for trade relations, the representative of the Asia - Africa Market Department noted that Vietnamese enterprises need to proactively learn and carefully study the FTAs that Vietnam and New Zealand are members of in order to exploit and effectively utilize tax incentives and goods origin.
