In Vietnam, following a significant decline, the market is now stabilizing. Meanwhile, exports to the U.S. are showing signs of slowing down.

• Gia Lai, Đồng Nai, Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu, Bình Phước: 123,000 VND/kg
Prices this morning are unchanged from yesterday, and the domestic market remains flat after a sharp drop.

IPC’s Assessment for Last Week:
• India: Both domestic and export prices fell, partly due to the Indian rupee weakening 1% against the USD (to 86.37 INR/USD).
• Indonesia & Malaysia: Prices remained stable for both domestic and export markets.
• Sri Lanka: Domestic prices have fallen for three consecutive weeks.
• Vietnam: Both domestic and export prices have declined for three weeks in a row, driven by:
o Weaker demand from the Middle East, U.S., and China
o Rising global inventories
Other countries:
• Black pepper prices from Brazil and Cambodia, and white pepper from China, are also declining.
• Brazil’s drop is likely due to anticipated higher output this year.
Domestic Outlook:
According to Vietnam’s Center for Industry and Trade Information (VITIC), some export companies are beginning to restock after a pause, potentially supporting domestic prices.
There are positive signals from EU and U.S. markets, especially for Q4 2025 and Q1–Q2 2026 orders. A trade agreement between the U.S. and Vietnam, expected to be signed in July, may bring a significant breakthrough for the sector.
