AsemconnectVietnam - According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, footwear export turnover in the first 5 months of 2025 reached nearly 9.76 billion USD, an increase of 12.9% compared to the first 5 months of 2024.

In May of 2025 alone, the export turnover of this group of goods reached 2.15 billion USD, down by 3.5% compared to April of 2025 but up by 7.5% compared to May of 2024.
Among many footwear export markets, the US achieved the largest turnover of 3.59 billion USD, accounting for 36.8% of the total export turnover of this group of goods nationwide, up by 15.8% compared to the first 5 months of 2024. In May of 2025 alone, it reached 766.63 million USD, down by 9.4% compared to April of 2025 but up by 10.2% compared to May of 2024. The Dutch market ranked second in terms of turnover, reaching over 742.76 million USD, accounting for 7.6%, up by 16.9%. In May of 2025 alone, it reached 152.37 million USD, down by 12% compared to April of 2025 but up by 7.1% compared to May of 2024. The next was the Chinese market, accounting for 6.6% of the total turnover, reaching 644.81 million USD, down by 15.8% compared to the first 5 months of 2024. Footwear exports to Belgium accounted for 5.1%, reaching 498.57 million USD, down by 1.3%.
