Coffee exports reached over 4.7 billion USD in first 5 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 5 months of 2025, coffee exports increased by 0.8% in volume, 65.7% in value and 64.3% in price compared to the first 5 months of 2024.
According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, in May of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports decreased by 10.7% in volume, 11% in value and 0.3% in price compared to April of 2025, reaching 148,762 tonnes, equivalent to 859.91 million USD, with an average price of 5,780.4 USD/tonne. In the first 5 months of 2025, coffee exports increased by 0.8% in volume, 65.7% in value and 64.3% in price compared to the first 5 months of 2024, reaching 823,908 tonnes, equivalent to over 4.7 billion USD, with an average price of 5,709.5 USD/tonne. The German market was leading the list of Vietnam’s main coffee export markets in the first 5 months of 2025, accounting for 16.7% of the total volume and 16.3% of the total coffee export turnover of the country, reaching 137,825 tonnes, equivalent to 765.11 million USD, with a price of 5,551 USD/tonne, up by 32% in volume, up by 118.8% in value and up by 65.7% in price compared to the first 5 months of 2024; In May 2025 alone, exports reached 24,982 tonnes, equivalent to 137.01 million USD, priced at 5,484 USD/tonne, down by 10.4% in volume, down by 10.8% in turnover and down by 0.4% in price compared to April of 2025.
Italy ranked second, down by 13.7% in volume, but up by 46.2% in turnover and up by 69.3% in price compared to the first 5 months of 2024, reaching 69,643 tonnes, equivalent to 371.93 million USD, priced at 5,340.5 USD/tonne, accounting for 8.5% of the total volume and 7.9% of the total coffee export turnover of the country.
Coffee exports to the Spanish market decreased by 1.9% in volume, but increased by 59.8% in turnover and 62.8% in price compared to the first 5 months of 2024, reaching 59,679 tonnes, equivalent to 348.15 million USD, with an average price of 5,833.7 USD/tonne, accounting for 7.2% of the total volume and 7.4% of the total turnover.
