Hoa Sen (HSG) exceeds 13% of the profit plan for the 2024-2025 fiscal year in 8 months
Sunday, June 22,2025
AsemconnectVietnam - Hoa Sen Group (HSG - HOSE) has just announced its estimated business results in May and the first 8 months of the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
Specifically, in May 2025, Hoa Sen is estimated to achieve an output of 157,271 tons, net revenue of VND3,162 billion and after-tax profit of VND104 billion.
In the first 8 months of the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the Group is estimated to achieve an output of 1,265,474 tons, completing 65% of the plan for the entire fiscal year; net revenue is estimated at VND25,099 billion, completing 66%; After-tax profit is estimated at VND567 billion, exceeding the plan for the whole fiscal year by 13% according to the high option.
Hoa Sen added that on June 3, the United States adjusted the import tax on steel and aluminum from the current 25% to 50%. Regarding the impact of the new tax policy, HSG affirmed that this measure will not affect business activities in the near future.
The reason is that since September 2024, the US Department of Commerce has initiated an anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation on galvanized, cold-galvanized and color-coated steel products exported from Vietnam. Due to the impact of the investigation and cautious sentiment from customers, the export of galvanized steel to the US market has been suspended since September 2024.
Despite the temporary suspension of exports to the US since September 2024, positive business results over the past 8 months show that the US tariff policy has not affected Hoa Sen's business operations.
In the market, in the general uptrend of steel stocks and optimistic business results, HSG shares briefly showed purple in the morning session of June 12 and closed the session up 5.3% to VND 16,850/share, with explosive liquidity reaching nearly 3.3 million units.
