AsemconnectVietnam - According to the latest statistics of the Customs Department, in May of 2025, the country's export turnover reached 39.6 billion USD, up by 5.7% compared to the previous month.

Notably, in May alone, there were 7 export commodity groups with export value of 1 billion USD or more. Leading the way were computers, electronic products and components with 9.1 billion USD.
The following positions were: machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts with approximately 5 billion USD; phones of all kinds and components with 4.6 billion USD; textiles and garments with 3.29 billion USD; footwear with 2.15 billion USD.
In addition, 2 commodity groups with 1.41 billion USD were wood and wood products; means of transport and spare parts.
The results achieved in May brought the total export turnover of the whole country in the first 5 months of 2025 to 180 billion USD, an increase of 14% (equivalent to an increase of nearly 22 billion USD) compared to the same period last year.
By the end of May, there were 4 groups of goods exported worth tens of billions of dollars, including: computers, electronic products and components; phones of all kinds and components; machinery, equipment, spare parts; textiles and garments with the results of 38.4 billion USD; 22.4 billion USD; 22 billion USD and 15 billion USD respectively.
In the agricultural sector, some key groups of goods had high growth, such as coffee reached 4.7 billion USD, an increase of 62.3%; seafood reached 4.2 billion USD, an increase of 17.8%; cashew nuts 1.88 billion USD, an increase of 19.4%; cassava and cassava products reached more than 601 million USD, an increase of 7%.
