Rubber imports reached 945.73 million USD in first 4 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 4 months of 2025, Vietnam’s rubber imports reached 539,966 tonnes, equivalent to over 945.73 million USD, up by 6.9% in volume and 28.8% in value over the same period of 2024.
According to the statistics figures from the General Department of Customs, in April of 2025, Vietnam imported 112,319 tonnes of rubber, equivalent to 203.24 million USD, down by 5.2% in volume and down by 7.5% in value compared to March of 2025, but up by 5.9% in volume and up by 19.3% in value compared to April of 2024. The import price in April of 2025 reached an average of 1,809.5 USD/tonne, down by 2.5% compared to March of 2025 but up by 12.6% compared to April of 2024.
In the first 4 months of 2025, the total import of this group of goods reached 539,966 tonnes, equivalent to over 945.73 million USD, up by 6.9% in volume and 28.8% in value compared to the first 4 months of 2024. The average price in 4 months reached 1,751.5 USD/tonne, up by 20.5%.
Rubber imported to Vietnam mainly originated from Cambodia, the imports from this market alone accounted for 35.4% of the total rubber imported into the country and 29.2% of the total rubber import turnover of the country, reaching 190,967 tonnes, equivalent to nearly 275.64 million USD, down by 3.5% in volume but up by 27.1% in turnover compared to the first 4 months of 2024.
Ranking second was the Chinese market with 78,823 tonnes, equivalent to nearly 151.95 million USD, priced at 1,927.7 USD/tonne, accounting for 14.6% of the total volume and 16% of the total turnover, up by 41.5% in volume, up by 45.8% in turnover and up by 3% in price over the same period last year.
Rubber imports from the South Korean market increased by 13.5% in volume, 15.7% in value and 2% in price, reaching 61,885 tonnes, worth of 105.88 million USD, accounting for 11.5% of the total volume and 11.2% of the total turnover.
Rubber imports from the Laos market decreased by 3.3% in volume, but increased by 17.2% in value and 21% in price, reaching 50,798 tonnes, worth of 78.67 million USD, accounting for 9.4% of the total volume and 8.3% of the total turnover.
In general, rubber imports in the first 4 months of this year from most markets increased in value compared to the first 4 months of 2024.
