Biwase approved the policy of establishing Biwase Wastewater and Drainage Treatment Company Limited with charter capital of VND30 billion, expected establishment date in the second quarter of 2025.
It is known that as of March 31, 2025, Biwase owns 10 subsidiaries, operating mainly in the field of clean water business; collecting, transporting and treating waste, producing compost, and performing urban construction services; power generation, power system construction, architectural activities and technical consulting...
Another noteworthy point is that previously, Biwase registered to buy 7.1 million shares of Vinh Long Water Supply JSC (code VLW) to increase ownership from 0% to 24.57% of charter capital, the transaction is expected to take place from May 19 to June 12.
On the other hand, Biwase Electrical Construction Joint Stock Company registered to sell 7.1 million VLW shares to reduce ownership from more than 9.7 million shares (33.65% of charter capital) to more than 2.6 million shares (9.09% of charter capital), the transaction is expected to take place from May 13 to June 6.
It is known that as of March 31, 2025, Biwase owns 52% of the charter capital at Biwase Electrical Construction Joint Stock Company, a unit operating in the fields of electricity production, electrical system construction, architectural activities and technical consulting.
In addition, regarding Vinh Long Water Supply, the unit was established in 1936 with the original name of Hung Dao Vuong Water Plant (capacity of 1,200 m3/day and night), then continuously expanded the water supply capacity and after 1975, the Company received a number of more factories, increasing the total water supply capacity to 6,500 m3/day and night and the main business areas are Vinh Long city, Long Ho district, Vung Liem district, Tam Binh district, Tra On district and Hoa Phu industrial park.
According to the plan, Vinh Long Water Supply is investing in the expansion of Vung Liem Water Plant - Vinh Long Province to increase the capacity from 3,000 to 9,600 m3/day and night; Trang An 2 Water Plant project; project to renovate the level 1 pumping station - raw water pipeline of Hung Dao Vuong Water Plant.
