Vietnam’s exports increased in first four months

AsemconnectVietnam - By the end of April, Vietnam's total export turnover reached 140.34 billion USD, an increase of 13% compared to the same period last year (equivalent to an increase of 16.12 billion USD).
Export activities have shown positive growth in the past four months.
According to information recently released by the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's total merchandise export turnover in the second half of April (April 16-30) reached 20.66 billion USD, an increase of 23.3% (equivalent to an increase of 3.91 billion USD) compared to the first half of April of 2025.
The export turnover in the second half of April of 2025 increased compared to the first half of April 2025 in several main commodity groups, such as computers, electronic products, and components increased by 740 million USD (equivalent to an increase of 20%); machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts increased by 503 million USD (equivalent to an increase of 23.9%); textiles and garments increased by 442 million USD (equivalent to an increase of 33.7%); telephones and components increased by 225 million USD (equivalent to an increase of 12.7%); footwear increased by 181 million USD (equivalent to an increase of 17.7%), and more.
Thus, by the end of April, Vietnam's total export turnover reached 140.34 billion USD, an increase of 13% compared to the same period last year (equivalent to an increase of 16.12 billion USD).
The statistics from the General Department of Customs recorded that the merchandise export turnover of foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) in the second half of April of 2025 reached 14.04 billion USD, an increase of 21.2% (equivalent to an increase of 2.46 billion USD) compared to the first half of the month.
By the end of April, the country’s total merchandise export turnover of the FDI enterprises reached 99.09 billion USD, an increase of 11.4% (equivalent to an increase of 10.18 billion USD) compared to the same period last year, accounting for 70.6% of the country's total export turnover.
