Vietnam’s coffee exports increased in value in 4 months

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first four months of 2025, Vietnam’s coffee exports decreased by 9.8% in volume but increased by 51.8% in value and 68.2% in price compared to the first four months of 2024.
According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, in April of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports decreased by 8% in volume, 9.2% in value, and 1.3% in price compared to March of 2025, reaching 166,606 tonnes, equivalent to 965.83 million USD, with an average price of 5,797 USD/tonne. Overall, in the first four months of 2025, coffee exports decreased by 9.8% in volume but increased by 51.8% in value and 68.2% in price compared to the first four months of 2024, reaching 665,889 tonnes, equivalent to nearly 3.8 billion USD, with an average price of 5,700 USD/tonne.
Germany was Vietnam's largest coffee export market in the first four months of 2025, accounting for nearly 17% of the total volume and total export value of the country's coffee, reaching 112,843 tonnes, equivalent to 628.12 million USD, with a price of 5,566.4 USD/tonne. This represents a 17% increase in volume, a strong increase of 97.6% in value, and a 69% increase in price compared to the first four months of 2024. In April of 2025 alone, Vietnam’s coffee exports reached 27,889 tonnes, equivalent to 153.51 million USD, with a price of 5,504 USD/tonne, showing an 18.6% decrease in volume, a 21.6% decrease in value, and a 3.6% decrease in price compared to March of 2025.
The country’s coffee exports to Italy ranked second, decreasing by 21.8% in volume but increasing by 33.8% in value and 71.1% in price compared to the first four months of 2024, reaching 57,798 tonnes, equivalent to 307.66 million USD, with a price of 5,323 USD/tonne, accounting for 8.7% of the total volume and 8.1% of the total export value of the country's coffee.
Meanwhile, the coffee exports to the Spanish market decreased by 9.4% in volume but increased by 67.1% in value and 51.4% in price compared to the first four months of 2024, reaching 50,142 tonnes, equivalent to 292.55 million USD, with an average price of 5,834.4 USD/tonne, accounting for 7.5% of the total volume and 7.7% of the total export value.
