AsemconnectVietnam - PetroVietnam Power Nhon Trach 2 Joint Stock Company (code NT2 - HOSE) announced documents for the 2025 General Meeting of Shareholders, the General Meeting is expected to be held on May 28 in Dong Nai province.

In 2025, Nhon Trach 2 sets a business plan with total revenue of VND8,211.51 billion, an increase of 34.2% over the same period, expected profit after tax of VND278.76 billion, an increase of 236.3% compared to the implementation in 2024 and expected dividend rate of 10%.
Assessing the difficulties in 2025, the Company said it will continue to face many difficulties due to increasingly unfavorable mobilization situation; declining gas sources; PM-NT distribution fees causing high average gas prices; Renewable energy sources are prioritized, reducing competitiveness and efficiency in the electricity market; and the risk of EVN's late payment.
Regarding the profit distribution plan, Nhon Trach 2 submitted to shareholders a dividend payment in 2024 at a rate of 7%, equivalent to a total payment of VND201.5 billion, and in 2025, the dividend is expected to increase to 10%.
Notably, Nhon Trach 2's profit for the whole year of 2024 was only VND82.89 billion, the Company allocated VND28.15 billion to the reward, welfare, and management fund. Therefore, the amount of dividend payment in 2024 is mainly taken from the accumulated profits of previous years.
In terms of business activities, in the first quarter of 2025, Nhon Trach 2 recorded net revenue of VND1,426.7 billion, a sharp increase of 445% over the same period, and recorded profit after tax of VND37 billion, a sharp improvement after a record loss of more than VND158 billion in the first quarter of 2024 and only completing 13% of the ambitious profit plan of VND278.76 billion in 2025.
