Quoc Cuong Gia Lai (QCG) recorded VND8.23 billion profit in Q1/2025

AsemconnectVietnam - Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (code QCG - HOSE) recorded a sharp increase in revenue and profit in the first quarter of 2025 and unfinished assets related to the Phuoc Kien project amounted to VND5,361.4 billion.

In the first quarter of 2025, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai recorded revenue of VND111.5 billion, an increase of 187.8% over the same period, after-tax profit reached VND8.23 billion, compared to the same period, a profit of VND0.65 billion, an increase of VND7.58 billion. In which, gross profit margin improved from 15.2% to 34.9%.
During the period, gross profit increased by 560% over the same period, equivalent to an increase of VND33.04 billion, to VND38.94 billion; Financial revenue decreased by 97.7%, equivalent to a decrease of VND6.27 billion, to VND0.15 billion; financial expenses decreased by 21.5%, equivalent to a decrease of VND1.94 billion, to VND7.09 billion.
In addition, also in the period, sales and business management expenses increased by 279.6%, equivalent to an increase of VND10.4 billion, to VND14.12 billion; other operating profits recorded a loss of VND5.73 billion compared to the same period with a loss of VND0.18 billion, an increase of VND5.73 billion.
In contrast to the increased profit in the first quarter of 2025, in terms of cash flow, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai recorded a negative main business cash flow of VND48.23 billion compared to the same period with a positive VND13.4 billion. In addition, investment cash flow recorded a positive VND0.15 billion and financial cash flow recorded a negative VND12.2 billion, mainly paying down debt.
In terms of asset size, as of March 31, 2025, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai's total assets decreased slightly by 1% compared to the beginning of the year, equivalent to a decrease of VND89.2 billion, to VND8,795.4 billion. Of which, the main assets recorded VND5,361.4 billion of long-term unfinished assets, accounting for 61% of total assets; inventories recorded VND1,261.6 billion, accounting for 14.3% of total assets; fixed assets recorded VND1,033.9 billion, accounting for 11.8% of total assets; short-term receivables recorded VND642.4 billion, accounting for 7.3% of total assets.
In addition, in terms of capital, by the end of the first quarter, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai's total short-term and long-term debt decreased by 3.2% compared to the beginning of the year, equivalent to a decrease of VND12.2 billion, to VND367.5 billion and equal to 8% of total equity.
