Imports of computers, electronics and components in 3 months of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 3 months of 2025, imports of computers, electronics and components reached 31.64 billion USD, an increase of 31.6% compared to the first 3 months of 2024.
According to the preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, imports of computers, electronics and components to Vietnam in March of 2025 increased by 10.4% compared to February of 2025 and increased by 36.6% compared to March of 2024, reaching 11.49 billion USD. In the first 3 months of 2025, the total import value of this group of goods reached 31.64 billion USD, an increase of 31.6% compared to the first 3 months of 2024.
Computers, electronics and components imported to Vietnam were mostly from China, accounting for 32.7% of the total import value of this group of goods nationwide, reaching nearly 10.36 billion USD, a sharp increase of 38.2% compared to the first 3 months of 2024. In March of 2025 alone, the figure reached over 4 billion USD, an increase of 26.6% compared to February of 2025 and an increase of 45.3% compared to March of 2024.
Following the main market of China was the South Korean market, accounting for 27.1%, reaching over 8.56 billion USD, an increase of 23.2%. In March of 2025 alone, imports from this market reached over 3.07 billion USD, an increase of 6.7% compared to February of 2025 and an increase of 20.4% compared to March of 2024. The next was the Taiwan market with over 4.56 billion USD, an increase of 61.6%, accounting for 14.4%. On the other hand, the exports of computers, electronics and components to markets in the first 3 months of 2025 reached 21.12 billion USD, an increase of 29.3% over the same period in 2023. Thus, Vietnam's trade deficit in the group of computers, electronics and components reached over 10.52 billion USD, an increase of 36.5% compared to the first 3 months of 2024.
