Fruit and vegetable exports increased sharply by over 52% in March of 2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first 3 months of 2025, fruit and vegetable exports reached over 1.16 billion USD, down by 9.4% compared to the first 3 months of 2024, with exports in March of 2025 reaching 477.42 million USD, up sharply by 52.1% compared to February of 2025 and up by 1.6% compared to March of 2024.
China was still the main market for Vietnamese fruit and vegetable exports, accounting for 44.8% of the country's total fruit and vegetable export turnover. In the first 3 months of 2025, fruit and vegetable exports to this market reached nearly 521.17 million USD, down sharply by 31.4% compared to the first 3 months of 2024. In March of 2025 alone, the country’s exports of fruits and vegetables to China reached 215.73 million USD, up by 62.3% compared to February of 2025 but down by 16.7% compared to March of 2024. The US market followed with nearly 111.59 million USD, up sharply by 64.9% compared to the first 3 months of 2024, accounting for 9.6%; the exports to South Korea reached 72.17 million USD, down slightly by 3.2%, accounting for 6.2%; to Thailand reached 46.99 million USD, down 1.3%, accounting for 4%; and to Japan reached 54.41 million USD, up by 22.6%, accounting for 4.7%.
