AsemconnectVietnam - According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's export turnover to Russia in the first 3 months of 2025 reached 545.4 million USD, up by 2.9% over the same period last year.

Coffee led the export turnover in the first 3 months of 2025, reaching 165.3 million USD, up by 69.3% over the same period last year, accounting for 30.1% of the export proportion. The next was textiles and garments, reaching 115.9 million USD, down by 35.2%, accounting for 21.2% of the export proportion.
In the first 3 months of 2025, some export items grew compared to the same month last year, such as pepper increased by 31.2%; footwear of all kinds increased by 273.8%: iron and steel of all kinds increased by 36.8%.
The rapid increase in trade turnover between Vietnam and Russia is mainly due to the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (Vietnam - EAEU FTA), creating favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation. This agreement has a positive effect on bilateral trade in which the Russian Federation and Vietnam are two active members. The agreement is a huge boost for Vietnam's exports, helping to diversify markets and export products, especially agricultural and aquatic products, food as well as Vietnamese products with many competitive advantages.
