AsemconnectVietnam - The Singapore Food Authority (SFA) has officially licensed the import of some livestock products from Vietnam, including heat-treated poultry meat and poultry eggs.

Earlier this month, the Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore announced an important step forward in the agricultural trade relationship between the two countries when the Singapore Food Authority (SFA) officially approved the import of some livestock products from Vietnam.
This is the first time Singapore has opened its market to this group of Vietnamese products.
The two Vietnamese enterprises approved to export to the Singapore market are CPV Food Company Limited and MeatDeli Hanoi Company Limited.
Approved products include heat-processed poultry meat and poultry eggs, which fully meet Singapore's strict food safety and animal quarantine standards.
To achieve this approval, businesses have worked closely with SFA throughout the assessment process, field surveys and food safety management system inspections. Criteria such as traceability, standard operation and human resource training are all ensured at a high level.
Singapore is a particularly important market, importing more than 90% of the food consumed domestically and is famous for its strict quarantine regulations. Successfully accessing this market not only enhances the reputation of Vietnamese livestock products but also opens up opportunities to penetrate other high-end markets in the region and the world.
According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Vietnam's livestock product export turnover in 2024 reached more than 533 million USD, an increase of 6.5% compared to 2023.
