 Friday, April 25,2025

AsemconnectVietnam - In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable reached more than 1.1 billion USD, down by 9.2% compared to the same period of 2024.

According to statistics from the Customs Department, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports in March of 2025 reached 477.4 million USD, up by 52.1% compared to February of 2025 and up by 2% compared to March of 2024.
In the first 3 months of 2025, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reached 1.164 billion USD, down by 9.2% compared to the same period in 2024.
The main reason for the decrease in Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports was the decline in the Chinese market - the main export market of this industry.
In March of 2025, the export value of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables to China reached 215.7 million USD, down by 16.4% compared to March of 2024.
In the first 3 months of 2025, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to China reached 521.2 million USD, down by 31.3% compared to the same period of 2024.
According to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the export value of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables to China decreased sharply due to the impact of durian exports on this market's regulations. However, after a period of interruption due to new inspection regulations, durian exports to China have gradually stabilized.
The United States was Vietnam's second largest fruit and vegetable export market in March of 2025, reaching 46.1 million USD, up by 33.8% over the previous month and up 64.8% over March of 2024.
In the first 3 months of 2025, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports to the United States reached 111.6 million USD, up by 65% over the same period of 2024, accounting for 9.6% of Vietnam's total fruit and vegetable export turnover.
To penetrate deeper into demanding markets such as the EU, the United States and Japan... according to the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the application of modern technology and compliance with international standards will be important factors for the success of Vietnamese agricultural products.
