Market Outlook:
According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, two main factors are expected to influence the coffee market this week:
  1. Weakening of the US Dollar (down 8% since the start of the year), which supports commodity prices.
  2. Certified inventory levels, which remain a key focus for traders and investors.
Additionally, weather conditions in Vietnam are under close watch. Reports indicate that April has seen average rainfall levels, with the rainy season expected to intensify toward the end of the month—positive news for growers and market participants.
Forecast:
  • Robusta prices are likely to stay within USD5,280 – 5,300/ton this week.
  • Without major changes to US import tariffs, Robusta is unlikely to fall below USD5,000/ton as it did previously.
  • The London exchange will be closed on Monday, which may influence early-week market activity.
